Silica Beach,
Crocodile Creek

Silica Beach, Crocodile Creek
The morning is spent exploring Silica Beach on Hidden Island. This beach is famous for its brilliant white squelchy sand and is a beautiful place to go for a walk and swim. After a delicious lunch on board Ocean Dream, we will take the tender vessels up Crocodile Creek to a pretty spring fed waterhole high above the crocodile line. Later in the afternoon we will cruise on to Talbot Bay.
Talbot Bay,
Horizontal Waterfalls

Talbot Bay – Horizontal Falls
The day will be spent in the stunning Talbot Bay, home to the Horizontal Falls. Guests will have the opportunity to explore the falls and take an optional scenic helicopter flight. Later in the afternoon we will take a tender vessel excursion up Cyclone Creek to observe the incredible rock formations created billions of years ago. Keep an eye out for the many friendly Tawny Nurse sharks that inhabit this area.
Montgomery Reef,
Red Cone Creek - Ruby Falls

Montgomery Reef, Red Cone Creek – Ruby Falls
The morning will be spent exploring the fascinating Montgomery Reef that appears to rise on a falling tide. Witness the abundance of marine life such as fish, crabs, manta rays, sharks and dugongs as their habitat changes with the moving tide. In the afternoon, there will be the chance of some fishing or mud crabbing along Red Cone Creek, followed by a swim at the beautiful Ruby Falls.
Prince Regent River,
King Cascade Falls

Prince Regent River, King Cascade Falls
We take a scenic steam along the Prince Regent River to King Cascade Falls. Guests have the opportunity of a refreshing cool down as Ocean Dream’s bow is manoeuvred directly under the falls. Choice of a scenic tender vessel excursion exploring the amazing wildlife in this region or climb to the top of the falls for a freshwater swim.
Prince Frederick Harbour,
Porosus Creek, Hunter River

Prince Frederick Harbour – Porosus Creek, Hunter River
As we travel further north, the rock formations get larger and more impressive. The stunning gorges of Porosus Creek have inspired many creatives and it’s a special place for photography and bird watching. There will be the opportunity to try your luck at Barramundi fishing and the mangroves are alive with lots of juicy mud crabs.
Bonaparte Archipelago
Bigge Island

Bonaparte Archipelago - Bigge Island
Experience the beauty of Bigge Island which lies approximately 6 kilometres off the coast in the Bonaprte Archipelago. This weathered sandstone island is surrounded by reef filled bays and is home to several endangered and rare mammals. It is also a significant Indigenous rock art site for the Wunambal Gaambera people.
Swift Bay

Swift Bay
If the tides are favourable, there will be an early morning oyster harvest on the exposed rocks of Swift Bay. Guests will then have the option of a helicopter flight over the Mitchell Falls, or a scenic tender vessel excursion. The afternoon is spent exploring the cultural significance of Swift Bay that was once an important meeting place for the Indigenous people.

Surveyor’s Pool

Mitchell River, Surveyor’s Pool
If you haven’t seen a crocodile yet then you will more than likely encounter one or two on the mighty Mitchell River. A fantastic river for fishing and exploring the hundreds of creeks that form along the mangrove forests as the tide falls. The area is alive with wildlife making for exciting scenic excursions and the afternoon is spent at the beautiful Surveyor’s Pool for a bush walk and swim.
Vansittart Bay,
Jar Island

Vansittart Bay, Jar Island
After breakfast, we take a tender vessel excursion to Jar Island to explore some of the oldest rock art in the Kimberley region, Gwion Gwion art. There is the opportunity for a refreshing swim in the beautiful bay before heading over to the location of a 1942 DC3 plane wreck on the eastern side of Vansittart Bay.
King George River,
King George Falls

King George River – King George Falls
At high tide we cross the sandbars of the King George River and make our way up to the falls. The King George River has the highest twin falls in Western Australia, at over 80m. Experience the incredible power of the falls as Ocean Dream is manoeuvred up close. For those that are feeling adventurous, there is a hike to the top of the falls and a freshwater swim.
Berkeley River

Berkeley River
Join a tender vessel excursion to explore the beautiful Berkeley River, with towering gorges, waterfalls and sandstone cliffs. We cruise along this impressive river system and observe the myriad of animal species that call this place home. We discover freshwater swimming holes and there is the opportunity for a spot of fishing.
Wyndham Port,
Kununurra

Wyndham Port - Kununurra
A courtesy vehicle will pick you up from your accommodation in Kununurra and transfer you to Ocean Dream at Wyndham Port, about one hour’s drive. Begin your cruise with a cold drink as you cruise out of the Cambridge Gulf watching the beautiful sunset. Unpack, meet your fellow adventurers and enjoy a delicious dinner served on the rear deck. Get settled whilst we cruise through the night towards the Berkeley River.

Join a tender vessel excursion to explore the beautiful Berkeley River, with towering gorges, waterfalls and sandstone cliffs. We discover the head of this incredible river system and the myriad of animal species that call this place home. Swim in freshwater holes and there is the opportunity for a spot of fishing.
King George River,
King George Falls

King George River – King George Falls
At high tide, we cross the sandbars of the King George River and make our way up to the falls. It’s an enticing welcome to one of the Kimberley’s most magnificent natural wonders. The dual waterfall has a vertical drop of over 80m, making it one the tallest waterfalls in Western Australia. For those willing hikers, you can climb to the top for a breathtaking view of the river below, a truly amazing experience as you admire the beauty of the untamed landscape.
Vansittart Bay,
Jar Island

Vansittart Bay, Jar Island
Tender vessel excursion out to Jar Island to explore the fascinating Gwion Gwion art, also known as Bradshaw Art. Unique to the Kimberley region, Gwion Gwion art is recorded to be over 17,000 years old. Opportunity to walk to the crash site of DC3 aircraft which crashed in 1942, located on the eastern side of Vansittart Bay.

Silica Beach, Crocodile Creek
Enjoy an expedition up Crocodile Creek and a freshwater swim in a spring fed waterhole. Take in the beautiful scenery as we cruise through Yampi Sound to Silica Beach, located on Hidden Island. Forming part of the Buccaneer Archipelago, it is named after the high content of Silica in the sand, and is a lovely place to swim and stretch your legs. This is your last evening on board Ocean Dream as we cruise past Cape Leveque and along the Dampier Peninsula towards Broome.PLEASE NOTE

Uunguu Visitor’s Pass (UVP)

The Uunguu Visitor Pass (UVP) is now required for all visitors along the Kimberley coastline.
This fee is paid to the Uunguu native title holders, also known as the Wunambal Gaambera people for access along the coastline and onto their land. The fee collected by Ocean Dream Charters is passed directly on to the Uunguu native title holders and is separate to cruise costs.
